Analysis Practice
This part asks how you show that an analysis was planned in advance and that the code computes what it claims. It belongs to the second quarter. The previous part made the analysis rebuildable; this one makes it defensible, which is a different property: an analysis can rebuild perfectly and still answer a question nobody specified.
- 25 Statistical Analysis Plans states the estimand, writes the statistical analysis plan and the data management and sharing plan, and uses a Git tag to show that the plan preceded the data.
- 26 Testing and Continuous Integration writes
tinytesttests that assert values rather than shapes, and runs them on every push with GitHub Actions.
If the quiz at the start of a chapter is easy, skip to the next. Both chapters are on the one-quarter core path, and the case studies in Part VII and the capstone assume them.
