This is the online version of Biostatistics Practicum, a graduate textbook in applied biostatistics practice from the rgtlab Curriculum Project.
The book covers the practical workflow that surrounds statistical modeling: reproducibility, Git infrastructure, Docker, Quarto reporting, tidyverse data wrangling, and clinical-trial case studies. We take Jenny Bryan’s STAT 545 (Bryan & Stephens, 2019) at UBC as our pedagogical model. The companion volume, Statistical Computing in the Age of AI, covers the statistical theory and inference that we deliberately exclude here.
We refer the reader to the Preface for our motivation and to the Conventions page for the visual cues used throughout.
